Pink Petals

Here's what I received in my March Birchbox :)
Vasanti | BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator
Sample size: approx $5
Beauty Blender  | Original with solid
Full size: $26+
Beauty Protector | Protect & Detangle
Sample size: approx $2
 Cythia Rowley | Eyeliner
Sample size: approx $10
Harvey Prince | Hello Body Creme
Sample size: approx $2

Total Value: $45+

This month's Birchbox was amazing. The Beauty Blender was the obvious star of the box and I was surprised to see that it came with a solid too. This was my first Birchbox and I'm quite impressed. Although the Beauty Blender was a promotion, so I'm not quite sure if this box is personally fit for me without the bonus. I'm hoping the next month is just as good.

If you would liek to subscribe to Birchbox, I would really appreciate it if you used my referral link here :).

Thanks to Neostrata and their new partnership, I was able to attend the Lole fashion show at the World Mastercard Fashion Week in Toronto. Lole is a Canadian brand that started up in Montreal and focuses on activewear for women.  It was a little hectic but my guests and I sat in the front row, score! This resulted in photos below taken my yours truly. If you want to check out the outfits at this year's Lole show, keep scrolling.

What I enjoyed most from this fashion show was that it started off with 3 models on the platforms doing some yoga poses. It was allowed attendees to realize the sporty background of the brand before the show started. I also love that the clothing modeled is completely wearable for the average day to day look.

I also attended the Farley Chatto show thanks to their amazing PR. Unfortunately, the lighting at the Farley Chatto show did not mesh well with my camera and it resulted in whited out photos. Sadface. Maybe next year!

*If you would like to use any of these photos, please ask first/give credit :)*

Once in a while, Pur Minerals sells a 5-Piece Mystery Grab Bag for $15. I decided to give it a try as I love Pur Minerals 4 in 1 Pressed Mineral Foundation, and for $15 you really can't go wrong. The grab bags were limited and I'm not sure if they are all the same products with different colours, but one of my items were swapped out for the blush duo according to the invoice. Keep reading to see what I received and a couple swatches:
(Sugar and Spice) Blush Duo
The website photo makes it look like a blush/bronzer duo but they are more like peach and apricot blushes. I really like the casing for the blush because it has a mirror and extra room for a sponge or puff.
(Graphite) Mineral Shadow
At first I wasn't too thrilled about this product because I thought it was a navy blue, then when I swatched it I realized it's a grey. This is great for smokey or dark eyes. Ditto the casing for the eye shadow. I hate when the applicator is packaged with the eye shadows because it gets a bit messy.
(Copper Canyon) Pout Plumping Lip Gloss
I don't like plumping lip glosses so this will be given to a friend. I don't really like the colour but when applied over a lipstick it adds the perfect amount of shine and sparkle.
(Ruby) Lip Pencil
A retractable lip pencil in Ruby red. I love that it has a lip brush on the other side. Lip brushes are my life, I completely stink at applying lipstick or lip liner and lip brushes always save me.
Brush Cleanser
I don't see myself using this anytime soon as I still have a couple bottles of BeautySoClean brush cleansers. This will be given to a friend.
Top to Bottom: Ruby Lip Liner, Copper Canyon Lip Gloss, Sugar and Spice Blush Duo, Graphite Eye Shadow

Here's what I received in my March Glam Bag from Ipsy and a couple swatches.
Nyx | Butter Lipstick (Hunk)
Full size | 6.00
I really like Nyx but very few stores in Toronto sell them and if they do there isn't much of a selection. I really like the Butter Lipstick, it goes on very smooth and is pretty pigmented. The packaging and lipstick itself looks purple, but when applied it's more of a plum with a blue undertone.

Pixi by Petra | Mesmerizing Mineral Duo (Apricot Glow)
Sample size 0.03 oz | n/a
I love the colours of this duo. I'm a sucker for neutral eye shadows and these compliment each other perfectly, a light champagne and a light bronze. I tried to find the product on their website but failed. They have Mesmerizing Mineral Pallettes but I found the Fairy Light Solo eye shadows in Champagne and Apricot to be very similar to these ones.
Coolway | Glow Oil Treatment
Sample size 10 ml | $3
I'm not a fan of hair oils but I'll give this a try. It says it can be used on both wet and dry hair, but from experience wet hair is always best.

Crown Brush | Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush
 $6.99
skin ICELAND | Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels
Sample size x 2 | $7.50
For some reason I'm not a fan of eye gels. I've received the same ones from a Murale order and have yet to use them. This is going to be traded with a fellow ipster for the Chella highlighter.
Swatches: Pixi by Petra in Apricot Glow and Nyx Butter Lipstick in Hunk

Total Value : $23.49 +

Recently, Revlon teamed up with Cineplex Timeplay. 1st place Timeplay winners received a coupon code to redeem a Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick of their choice from the lipstick vending machines at the theater. My awesome friend gave me his code and I won one of my own, and I though hey, why not swatch them? Keep reading to see the swatches!
