BEAUTY BOX - April Glam Bag

Thursday, April 30, 2015

Here's what I received in my April Glam Bag from Ipsy.
HIkari | Blush in Tango
Full size: $15
Oh my, I absolutely love this blush. The beautiful matte coral pink just screams pink and it'll work great with my combination skin. I generally find the blushes Ipsy sends are really good and the colours are versatile to fit just about any skin tone.
the Balm | NudeDude in Fit
Sample size: approx $3
Fit is a lovely shimmery brown champagne colour with great pigmentation.
Hey Honey| Good Morning - honey silk facial serum
Sample size: approx $13.70
This was the first product I tried from this month's bag because I was in a rush getting ready and grabbed the nearest moisturizer/serum to apply. Some serums are more like creams, but this is actually a serum and is quite runny. It has a light smell, similar to baby powder. Would I purchase it?... ehh I'll pass.
Starlooks | Lip Gloss in Cuddle
Sample size: approx $3
This is a satin gloss with a nude champagne colour. I'm not a fan of lip glosses, actually I requested not to get lip gloss samples from Ipsy, but this one is pretty good. It doesn't feel sticky and wet when applied, which is my main issue with glosses.
Jor'el Parker | Femina
Mini roller: $21
Again, I received something I requested not to, but I'm pleasantly surprised with this scent. The scent notes are: Meyer Lemon, White Grapefruit, Satsuma Mandarin, Summer Forsythia, Pink Plumeria, Wild Verbena, Tahitian Vanilla, Sensual Musk. I really like this scent as the citrus, floral and vanilla compliment each other nicely and produces a sweet but not overly sweet smell. The best part? It's 100% cruelty free and vegan.

Total Value: approx $55

Whoa, the value of Birchbox and Ipsy were almost the same this month! But I do feel like the Glam bag was more worth it. It provided more make-up products which is what I prefer. I really enjoyed the perfume sent and will definitely be adding it to my wish list.

  1. I got the blush and eyeshadow in my ipsy bag as well and loved them both! I got that rollerball perfume as well but I'm not a big fan of it- I don't like receiving fragrances either because I can be so picky with them!

    1. Yeah exactly, I have way too many perfume samples collecting dust on my dresser from subscription boxes. Scents are so particular to the person so it's quite hard to find a universal scent for everyone ><

  2. I loved The Balm eyeshadow in that bag! It is probably my most used Ipsy product. Also, love your styling of the products/bag picture!
