Today, I'm going to be sharing my Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe. Seriously guys, I cannot have enough of these cookies, and neither can my fiance. We pretty much eat the batch as it's on the cooling rack. To help portion ourselves though, a lot of this dough gets frozen in pre-made cookie dough balls until we're ready to have a treat! This recipe creates about 2 dozen or so cookies, depending on the size of your cookies. And without further ado, here is my Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325F. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated white sugar together until it is fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla, mixing until combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together. Gradually add this to the wet mixture until combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Roll cookie dough into balls using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, and place it on a lined baking sheet about 2-3 inches apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes for a soft, gooey cookie, and up to 17 minutes for a crispy, chewy cookie. (Add another minute for frozen cookie dough balls).
And there you have it! The great thing about this recipe is that it is so versatile. You can substitute anything for the chocolate chips, such as Toblerone or chopped up candy bars, or even change it to a sugar cookie by replacing the brown sugar with granulated white sugar.
