Pink Petals

Clean's Skin ($95) fragrance has a light, sweet, and subtle scent, making it perfect for everyday wear. The notes in this perfume are: Honeydew, Lotus Blossom and Fresh Air Accord, Dewy Petals, Aquatic Notes, Blue Rose, Musks, Amber Wood, Vanilla.
Clean Skin Fragrance
Straight from the bottle, this scent is quite tropical with the honeydew and floral notes, reminding me of Victoria's Secret's Moroccan Coconut Mimosa scent released a couple Summers ago. But when applied, it oxidizes and mixes with your natural scent, letting the muskiness come to the surface and muting the tropical scents to a subtle sweetness on the skin.
I personally love using this for work because it smells great and is also subtle enough to not offend anyone in the office - but that can literally be said about any of Clean's fragrances!

What's your work/office scent?

NIA (Not Into Aging) is a fairly new brand in the Canadian market, selling exclusively at BeautyBoutique.ca and Murale in Canada. Today, I will be reviewing their Sunday Detox Whipped Clay Peel-Off Mask ($39).
This mask is not only a mouthful, but it has a very interesting delivery as well, being both a mousse and peel-off mask.  It claims to purify pores, draw out dirt and debris, and exfoliate to leave your skin smooth, radiant and optimized. It's listed featured ingredients are:

  • NIA-114™: patented molecule fortifies and protects skin against the impact of lifestyle stressors
  • White Kaolin Clay: gentle, mineral-rich clay absorbs impurities and build up to detoxify and cleanse while softly exfoliating skin
  • Bamboo Charcoal Powder: draws out toxins and debris to purify skin and help reduce the appearance of pores
  • Mango and Brazilian Caja Extract: AHAs provide exfoliation to promote surface cell renewal
  • Chaulmoogra, Black Cumin & Manuka Oils: synergistic blend helps reduce the appearance of blackheads
  • Lentil Seed Extract: helps minimize the look of pores
NIA Sunday Detox Whipped Clay Peel-Off Mask
The is simple and straightforward to use - apply an even and generous layer on clean skin and wait 10-15 minutes before peeling it away, rinsing any leftover residue. The first spritz, however, is quite strong so be ready for that! The product comes out in a mousse texture, which is a bit confusing when it comes to application because just like hair mousse, it quickly turns into a liquid. Because of this, I was unsure of how to apply it since it's too liquid to get a thick layer, but as long as it's not completely translucent, it should be fine. For reference, I used just more than a golf ball sized amount for my face - awkward selfie time!
The mask dries fairly quickly, about 8 minutes, since the layer applied is quite thin. I did notice a slight sting when first applied, along with an odor - I really can't describe it but I personally didn't like it. Removing the mask was easy and painless - there is absolutely no pull to the product, unlike the Boscia Luminizing Black Charcoal Mask and more like the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Cucumber Facial Peel-Off Mask. Because the mask is so gentle, I didn't notice any differences pores, black heads, or dry skin. With that being said, this mask is more of a weekly treat for your skin, rather than a remedy for such causes, with the latter being something that I look for in skincare products.

Do you prefer peel-off or wash-off masks?
