Pink Petals

Wet n Wild has officially joined the liquid lipstick game with their new Mega Last Liquid Catsuit Latte Lipsticks line. These lipsticks are retailing for $6.99 and are available at Wet n Wild as well as Well.ca. These lipsticks are also fragrance free, gluten free and cruelty free if those are something you consider when purchasing beauty products.
These liquid lipsticks glide on smoothly and are so easy to apply with the curved doe foot applicator. The formulation and colours are beautiful and pigmented, but I find the lighter colours apply a bit patchy, so a second coat may be needed. The lipsticks dry quickly but they transfer quite a bit, lasting about 5 hours and leaving a subtle tint to the lips.
This line comes with 13 shades, 5 of which are swatched below:
Nudie Patootie
Nudist Peach
Coral Corruption
Pink Really Hard
Rebel Rose
Give Me Mocha
Berry Recognize
Nice to Fuchsia
Oh My Dolly
Flame of the Game
Missy and Fierce
Video Vixen
Goth Topic
I love that Wet n Wild remains affordable and consumer conscious while producing such great products and these liquid lipsticks are no exception. They are definitely a great buy if you're looking to expand your liquid lipstick collection - because really, you can never have too many.

Summer is coming and the best way to help protect your skin from getting burnt is by using sunscreen, but nothing ruins your day more than a can or bottle of sunscreen exploding in your bag - true story. Enter
MyChelle's Sun Shield Clear Stick SPF 50 ($16.50), a mineral-based and water-resistant sunscreen that is perfect for travelling. The stick formulation glides onto the skin and dries clear while containing nourishing oils that help moisturize the skin.
I can't stress enough how good this sunscreen stick is for travelling since it's light and essentially mess free, although it may be considered less hygienic since it's a stick applicator. The sunscreen really does glide on with a similar consistency to body butter and it dries nicely without any stickiness. I especially like that this MyChelle sunscreens are Reef Safe - meaning they do not contain chemicals that harm or bleach the coral reefs of the ocean, so it's perfect if you're vacationing in the tropics and want to make a eco conscious choice. One thing I will say though, is that this will probably need to be used in conjunction with another sunscreen as there isn't nearly enough for the whole body and liquid/spray sunscreen is definitely easier to distribute.

This sunscreen stick, along with other MyChelle products, are now available now at Murale and BeautyBoutique.ca.

Sugar scrubs are great for exfoliating and cleansing the skin, especially if you’re conscious about the ingredients in your beauty products. MyChelle is especially conscious about their ingredients and are made without GMO, gluten, parabens, petroleum, phthalatses, silicons, sulfates, ureas, artificial fragrances and artificial colours. MyChelle products are also vegan, made with recycled packaging and is part of PETA's Beauty Without Bunnies Program.
For a while, I only found sugar scrubs for the body and lips but MyChelle’s Refining Sugar Cleanser ($32) is meant to be used for the face. To me, it sounded a bit weird at first because no way in heck would I just go and rub sugar on my face because someone told me to, so I was pretty interested to see if this scrub would cleanse or break out my skin.

First off, can I just say that this cleanser smells freaking amazing?! Its sweet vanilla scent strongly resembles a vanilla cupcake, but it isn't overly sweet. The cleanser itself is just the perfect consistency to exfoliate and cleanse with - not too watery and not too firm. This cleanser is meant to be used on a damp face and scrubbed until the sugar dissolves and then washed off. I like that this cleanser lathers as you go and fully dissolves. As I mentioned, I’ve only used sugar scrubs for the body and lips and I never waited for them to dissolve (maybe I’ve been doing it wrong, oops...) nor did they ever lather, so this was an interesting experience. Because it's made with sugar, it isn’t too harsh on the skin and washes off nicely – no stickiness here! I find that it's best used with a bare face or a light application of makeup.

I would definitely consider this cleanser if you're in the market for one as its a nice addition for weekly use and pampering days. Available at Murale and BeautyBoutique.ca.

What do you think about sugar scrubs? Yay or nay?
