Pink Petals

With Christmas in less than a week, I've been scrambling to get some last minute gifts for friends and family. I'm actually not a last minute gift shopper, but there are just some friends that are so hard to shop for or I find myself wanting to add a little bit more to some existing gifts. Of course these gifts are not exclusive to the holidays and can be purchased year round (with some exceptions).
To keep the prices reasonable, all these gifts are under $50. Without further ado, here is my last minute gift and stocking stuffers list:

For the Foodie with a Sweet Tooth:
SQUISH Candies | Prosecco Bears - 140g ($6)
*Vegan options available
If you're looking for some stocking stuffers or to add a bit more to a gift, SQUISH offers small packs of its range of gummy candies. One of their best sellers is the Prosecco Bears, which add a little bit of finesse to your classic childhood gummy bears. As someone who isn't fond of alcohol, these gummies are a-okay in my books. There is a vegan option available which is fantastic and I actually prefer the vegan version tbh because it's less chewy. Thinking of buying a couple? SQUISH offers a buy 4 get 1 free deal, so go ahead and mix it up a little!

Champagne Bottle Prosecco Bears - 300g ($14)
*Vegan Option Available

This Champagne Bottle filled with Prosecco Bears adds a little oomph with it's classy packaging, and could possible be used as a gag gift for Kris Kringle games. If you plan on buying more than one, SQUISH offers a 2 for $25 deal for these Champagne Bottles.

For the One Who Loves Bubble Baths:
LUSH | Thunder Snow Bath Bomb ($6.95)
This galactic looking bath bomb has a lovely mint chocolate scent without being too overpowering, which makes it perfect for the holidays! I think it was considered a bit weird at some point to give someone a bath bomb, but I think it's become the norm now that more LUSH stores have popped up. I know for some people though, it can be a bit overwhelming going into LUSH with all the scents wafting up your nose, but if you're familiar with you giftee's scent preferences, you'll be able to find a bath bomb or bubble bar to suit them from the wide selection available.

For the One Who Always Has Their Hair Up:
GummiBand | Black Hair Cords - 4 pack ($7.99 + free shipping)
These hair cords are the bomb.com. I have no idea how I've lived without them. They're durable, don't snag and don't hurt my head/hair when I use them. They're just so comfortable to wear - they're both loose and tight at the same time and I often wear them to bed because that's how comfy they are to me. These are meant to prevent pony tail dents too, but that hasn't been the case for me. BUT, they don't leave band marks on my arm so that's a plus. If you're looking for a deal for these, use promo code: BONUS39 to receive 2 extra hair cords for every 4 purchased.

For the Coffee Snob:
Starbucks | French Press Ornament ($12.95)
HOW CUTE IS THIS?! IT'S A TEENY TINY FRENCH PRESS! I just about died when I saw these in store and knew I had to get it for my coffee snob of a friend. It's also pretty light compared to the ceramic cup ornaments that Starbucks sells too, in case you were worried about it weighing down the branches of the Christmas tree. There isn't much more to say about this except that it's amazing, really.

For the Millennial:
PopSockets | Phone/Tablet Stand, Mount & Grip - Avocado ($14.95)
As a millennial, I often have to choose between spending my money on avocado toast or my phone bill. Now thanks to PopSockets, I don't ever have to! But seriously, PopSockets are amazing. I've converted most of my friends and my boyfriend to this amazing invention. Not only is it a stand, mount and grip, it's also great to fidget with when you're bored or stressed. Although this isn't a guaranteed deal, I have seen some PopSockets sell on Amazon for as low as $12.

For the Home Decor Enthusiast:
Bath and Body Works | Champagne Toast Candle ($24.50)
Scented candles are such a simple yet luxurious gift. I find that some of my friends won't buy themselves a scented candle, but appreciate it when received. BBW carries so many scents that it's almost impossible to not find a scent suitable for your giftee, plus it's something that almost anyone can use, and nothing stinks more than a gift you can't use! BBW often has sales on candles too, so you can probably snag one of these 3-wick candles for as low as $12.50!

For the Tea Lovers:
David's Tea | David's Top 12 Set ($26)
This is a the perfect gift set for that tea lover in your life if you haven't exactly been paying attention to what they buy at David's Tea. It's a great selection of their top 12 selling teas and your giftee will definitely find a couple old and new favourites in here. If you watch out for sales, David's Tea sometimes has a 2 for $40 deal, so keep a look out if you plan on buying more than one.

Holly Branches Carry Travel Mug ($34)
If your tea and/or coffee lover are well stocked with their favourites, maybe getting them a travel mug is a better idea. I love this travel mug from David's Tea because it's so well insulated. I've literally had this keep my tea warm from the morning until night. I also love that theres a little compartment in the lid to carry some extra tea in case you might need a refill. As for deals, David's Tea is currently offering BOGO 50% off, which isn't bad at all!  If you're not in a rush, wait for the seasonal sales as you're pretty much guaranteed to find one there with the colour rotations they have.

For the Environmentalist / Gym Junkie:
BKR | Glass Water Bottle - 500ml ($40)
I absolutely love BKR bottles, or glass bottles in general, and if your giftee is environmentally conscious, I would definitely recommend getting them this. I know S'well bottles are all the rage right now, but metal water bottles just turn me off - they can be hard to wash and give the water a metallic taste. These bottles are also pretty darn sturdy you're worried about these bottles breaking, plus it comes with a silicone sleeve to help protect it. I'm fairly clumsy and have actually dropped the bottle on the floor which resulted in a crack in the cap handle, but the bottle itself was perfectly fine.

And this wraps up my last minute gift + stocking stuffer ideas. I tried not to include items that everybody could enjoy and that weren't too commonly thought of (ie. lip balms or nail polishes for stocking stuffers), so I hope this helped you finish off your list :).
Let me know some of your last minute gift or stocking stuffer gifts in the comments below!

The Matrix Biolage R.A.W line is fairly new and focuses on ingredients that are good for both us and the environment, hence R.A.W - Real. Authentic. Wholesome.
I'm going to admit, that I'm not exactly a fan of "natural" hair care products - it doesn't perform as well for me, whether it be shampoo, conditioner or styling products. It's just not my vibe. BUT, I am pleasantly surprised with the Smoothing Styling Milk and the Texturizing Styling Spray. I find both products lightweight, do an amazing job at what they claim, and don't have a strong scent like sometimes natural products do.
I use the Smoothing Styling Milk as sort of a leave-in conditioner. After washing my hair, I apply a pea sized amount to the ends of my hair and dry it (either by blow or air drying) and I could see that my hair was more tame without being oily like some other leave in conditioners do to my hair. Sometimes I forget to apply it onto my hair after the shower, so I apply it after I style my hair to smooth out my slightly frizzy ends, and it works just as well!
My favourite product of the two has to be the Texturizing Styling Spray though. It's fantastic for the messy, beach-y wave look.
To begin creating this beach waves look, I washed my hair and blow dried it until it was about 80% dry.  I sprayed the texturizing spray all over my hair and proceeded twist small sections of my hair away from my face, ensuring that all my hair was twisted. I let the twists sit for a couple minutes, then I brushed them out with my fingers and pushed my hair towards my roots to create some volume. When my hair was fully dried, I used a tapered 1 inch curling wand to add a couple of defined curls to the top layer of my hair and brushed my fingers through that as well.
This hair style holds well and looks even better as a second hair day look. I'm quite impressed with it's performance as it isn't crunchy and doesn't dry out my hair like a sea salt spray, but offers the same styling effect.
I'd definitely recommend Matrix Biolage R.A.W. products if you're looking for more environmentally conscious hair products as they offer a couple other styling products as well as shampoos and conditioners.

What's your go-to hair style for work or school?

The Gourmet Food & Wine Expo is in Toronto for this weekend from November 16-19 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The Gourmet Food &Wine Expo is just as it's name states and has long list of exhibitors  - think IMATS, but with food and alcohol instead.
How does it work? Buy an admission ticket (price varies depending on date/package) along with sampling tickets to issue to vendors for food and drink samples ($20/20 tickets). I was fortunate enough to attend as media this year and only paid for my sampling tickets.
Note: Since alcohol is served at this event, only those over 19 with valid ID may enter.
I spent my evening at the expo with Madeline (Classically Contemporary) and Jenny (JennyBeaned), and I'm pretty sure we did our best in seeing everything the expo had to offer. I was being quite frugal with my tickets as I only purchased 20 and wanted to keep within that budget. I found most vendors charged between 1-7 tickets for their samples - wine and alcohol ranged from 1-3 tickets and food ranged from 1-7. I would definitely recommend going around first to see what each booth has to offer before diving in.

Notable Exhibitors:
Acadian Sturgeon - sample sturgeon pate for 2 tickets and sturgeon caviar for 3 tickets
Dare2Dream Farm - sample their Maple Floss, Maple Vinegar and Honey Vinegar - these products were also available to purchase and were quite the unique find
Switzerland Cheese Marketing Inc - this was by far the most popular booth at the event and it revolved around raclette as a rosette with jam or melted on toast.
Ungava Spirits Co - sample their spirits for 1-2 tickets each and receive a metal camping mug (in the photo above) to keep. This was definitely a big hit with the crowd as there was a constant line up and many people asked where we got the mug.

Food & Drinks:
Kinka Family - offered torched sushi, ramen, and a pork belly bun (5 tickets each)
Oyster Boy - 2 tickets for a freshly shucked oyster (or 10 tickets for 6 oysters)
Mott's Clamato Caesar - receive a small cup of caesar for 1 ticket
Tito's Handmade Vodka - Purchase a drink a receive a mason jar mug to keep
The Pie Guyz - 3 tickets for a mini beef, chicken or veggie pie, or 7 tickets for a full sized one

Freebies:
Barilla Pasta - sample of their gluten free pasta
Dimpflmeier Bakery - samples of their various breads and pretzels
OLG The Big $pin - free The Big Spin lotto ticket & spin for a prize
OLG Slots at Woodbine - spin for $ towards the Slots at Woodbine
Whole Foods - $5 coupon towards a purchase in-store
Virginia Tourism - enter for a chance to win a trip to Virginia

Overall, I enjoyed my time at the expo but it could become quite pricey if you come with an empty stomach. It was a great experience though and I would definitely recommend attending if you haven't done so before, or if you're a food and wine enthusiast.

Recently, Wet n Wild launched their new MegaCushion line. This line contains a Highlight, Contour and four shades of Color Correctors: green, lavender, peach and yellow.
The packaging for the MegaCushion line provides a cutesy manga/anime feel to it. As someone who doesn't colour correct often, I find it extremely helpful that each one indicates what it's best used for: green for redness, peach for dark circles, lavender for yellow, and yellow for dullness - although I'm not quite sure what 'dullness' looks like.
The interior holds the cushion, a plastic separator and an application sponge. Although the application sponge is useful, I only prefer it when using the peach one for my under eye area. For the remaining cushions, I'd rather use brushes or my finger to apply the product - concealer brush for the correctors, contour brush for the contour and my fingers for the highlight.
Below are swatches of all the MegaCushion compacts aside from the yellow Color Corrector. The formula is light and blends quite easily. I want to say it's pigmented, but when blended out it's pretty sheer in terms of coverage.
Green and Lavender Color Correctors - I'd say these are the most pigmented of the bunch, and both leave a white-ish cast when blended out.
Peach Color Corrector - it's no replacement for under eye concealer, but it's great to use for casual days at school.
Contour - although it looks super dark when first applied, it blends seamlessly for a natural contour on my NC20/25 skin. This is honestly my favourite non-powder contour product so far.
Highlight - the subtle shimmer leaves a natural contour, but it doesn't have the best staying power so a powder highlight on top may be needed.

All in all, these are great for everyday use if you prefer a natural finish for these products rather than a full coverage one.

I was recently accepted to an Chick Advisor campaign where I was asked to show off my style with TWIK by Maison Simons. I got sorted into Group Two and the selections we were given were extremely cute, wearable and work appropriate, which are things that I tend to keep in mind when purchasing clothes now that I'm entering the adult world.
Although it was tempting to buy everything, I narrowed down my selection to things I would actually wear rather than things I just wanted. This lead me to buying a sweater, top and skirt.

Outfit #1: Fall Outings
Merino-Touch Mock Neck Sweater ($29.99)
This mock turtle neck sweater is so soft, cosy and not itchy! (Darn you acrylic sweaters!) I wasn't sure how I would like the style on me because it's fairly loose, but it looks great. I'm a huge fan of turtle necks, but it can sometimes feel constricting to wear. With this sweater though, you don't feel that at all. It's also pretty warm and the perfect top to tuck into a skirt or a pair of jeans. In terms of fit, I'd say it fits pretty true to size but its a loose fit to begin with - but in a flattering way. I really like this sweater and will probably pick up another one in Dusty Rose.

Accent-Zip Ribbed Skirt ($39.99)
I love this skirt because it looks great and is so in trend with the Fall season. Although the website states it's a velvet skirt, it's actually more of a velvety corduroy material. The skirt is the perfect length, well built and the zipper is sturdy. In terms of sizing, I'm between a Small/Medium and found the Small to fit great sitting at a high waist, but if you want it to sit a bit lower then order a size down.

Outfit #2: Study Days
Solid Waffle Cardigan ($34.95)
I have been looking for a long grey cardigan for months now that feels nice and isn't too bulky and I've finally found it. Although this cardigan isn't featured in the Group Two looks, it is from the TWIK collection. This waffle cardigan fits comfortably and a great addition to your wardrobe for the Fall season. It is the perfect sweater for casual days where you can just throw this on top of a t-shirt and jeans - I literally wear this like 80% of the time when I'm at school.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the TWIK line by Maison Simons. They're great quality items, affordable and true to size. The only downside is that there is only one location in the GTA (Square One) for those who prefer to shop in person, but fortunately online orders have free shipping over $100 and free returns too.

Where do you buy most of your clothes from? I'm an Old Navy / Joe Fresh kinda girl.

So, I'm like, two months late with this post - whoops! I know I always use school and work as an excuse, but for some reason it's taking a huge toll on me this semester. Shout out to anyone who works while in school - you're a superstar!
But back to the empties; this Summer was a lot of bath products. This is mostly because I spent the Summer in Ottawa with my boyfriend whose apartment included unlimited hydro hehe, and I love me a good bubble bath or bath soak. So without further ado, here are my Summer empties:

Rating Guide:
☆ - All aboard the nope train!
☆☆ - Meh... It's okay
☆☆☆ - YAAASSSSSS!!
Full Size:
Algemarin Foam Bath Packets x3 ☆☆☆
These packets are great when you're travelling and need a bit of relaxation. I initially got one of these packets in a beauty box (I want to say Top Box?) and soon after found a 5 pack at Dollarama that I snatched up. The amount in the packet is the perfect amount for a foamy bubble bath and it has a clean and salty scent.
Biore Baking Soda Cleanser ☆☆☆
I received this from Influenster and have been using it since. I really do love Biore face washes and this one wasn't any different. The one drawback about this product, but it's totally on me, is that if and when the scrubbing balls make their way into your eye, it hurts so bad!
Bodycology Cherry Blossom Bath Fizzies ☆☆☆
These bath bombs are amazing and affordable, which I'm really surprised with because I'm usually not a fan of drugstore bath bombs. Mix this with the liquid bubble bath and I'm basically a goner.
Garnier SkinActive Clearly Brighter SPF 15 Moisturizer ☆☆☆
I also got this from Influenster and I really liked it. I couldn't tell that it has SPF because it didn't cast a white tinge to my skin like some do. I absorbs quickly, doesn't feel greasy, and didn't create any breakouts on my combination skin
John Frieda Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery Shampoo & Conditioner ☆☆
LUSH Snakes and Ladders FUN ☆
FUN is like a hybrid between a bath bar and Playdoh, which can be especially fun for children to play with. I personally wasn't a fan because the colours stained my hands and the bubbles didn't hold up too well, disappearing fairly quickly.
LUSH Salt and Peppermint Bark Shower Scrub ☆
I love the scent, but I'm not a fan of the product. You're supposed to use this scrub bar in the shower, but try not to get it wet because then it'll dissolve, but it's nearly impossible to not get it wet. It also takes a while to dry, so I would use it about once a week. I just think sugar scrubs are 100x easier to use.
LUSH Love and Light Hand Cream ☆
I'm not a fan of this hand cream because it felt too greasy upon application and I wasn't really digging the scent either.
Nivea In-Shower Body Milk ☆☆☆

Travel/Sample Size:
Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Moisturizer ☆
This moisturizer was way too thick for my liking and made my skin extremely greasy, so I only applied this at night before bed. Nope, not again.
Flawless By Friday MesmerEYES Eye Mask System ☆☆
I found that this eye mask was drier than some others on the market, but I kind of preferred that because it was dripping in serum. I couldn't tell if it was effective, but it was a nice touch to a spa day so I'll give it two stars.
Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake Shampoo, Bath & Shower Gel ☆☆
I know this is really old, don't judge me! I used to be obsessed with these gels from Philosophy cause I thought they would make great bubble baths - but I never actually used it. Now that I have, I can tell you these are hella pricey bubble baths because you need quite a bit to get a nice foam and the bubbles disappear quite fast.
Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes ☆☆☆
For a while, I was not very fond of facial wipes, but they're so convenient when I'm at an event and my sensitive eyes act up. Now I always carry some travel wipes whenever I'm wearing a lot of eye makeup.
The Body Shop Mango Exfoliating Sugar Body Scrub ☆☆☆

I'd say this was a pretty successful season and I got a lot of things emptied out, did you? Let me know in the comments below!

Summer is my favourite season for travelling. With it's beautiful, hot and sunny days and all the events and happenings throughout the city, how can you not resist going out? Going out is the easy part though - it's packing that can be a bit more difficult, especially when you don't have a lot of room in your purse. Whether you're off to the beach or on a quick getaway vacation, here is my list of Summer Beauty Travel Essentials to get you through the day plus a little giveaway!
Travalo Perfume Atomizer*
Travalo Perfume Atomizers are the absolute best way to keep your favourite perfume on the go. It's refillable, durable and super easy to use. All you have to do is remove the spray nib from your perfume and pump it into the bottom of the Travalo. If you're not sure if this will last your trip, know that a full atomizer carries 65 sprays! Travalo Perfume Atomizers are available at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Paula's Choice Resist Cellular Defence SPF 25 Daily Moisturizer*
Make sure to protect your skin from those powerful rays this Summer with some SPF packed moisturizers. Paula's Choice has got you covered with their travel sized SPF moisturizer that comes with the Travel Kit for Normal to Dry Skin. Keep it on hand for reapplication throughout the day.

 L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara*
With hot Summer days come natural no-makeup looks and mascara is the key to pulling these looks together - a couple swipes and you're ready to go. Keep one of these on you for a quick touch up or reapplication after taking a dip in the pool. Have sensitive eyes? Check out my post on Wet N Wild's Renegade Mascara.

Simple Sensitive Skin Express Facial Cleansing Wipes*
Sometimes your skin might just not feel like having a layer of makeup on. This happens to me all the time when my eye sensitivity acts up or when I basically sweat off my makeup. A travel pack of cleansing wipes is a life saver in these situations and they're so convenient.

Philosophy Amazing Grace Shampoo, Bath & Shower Gel*
This 3-in-1 shampoo, bath and shower gel is great because it's versatile and takes so little space. I love to take this whenever I travel because it reduces my toiletries when travelling and it's a great shower companion for a day at the beach or poolside.

EOS Lip Balm
I can't leave the house in any weather without lip balm because my lips get dry pretty easily. For the Summer, I would definitely recommend an SPF lip balm, but I personally just really like this Coconut Milk EOS lip balm.

My friends at Travalo would love to become part of your Summer Beauty Essentials, so they are giving away ONE Travalo Perfume Atomizer. To enter, fill out the form below and good luck! If you can't wait to get your hands on one of these, head on over to a local Shoppers Drug Mart and pick one up.

Congratulations to Nicole M for winning this giveaway!

Nails Inc's Gel Effect polishes are quick and fast drying with amazing colour payoff. I'm spending the Summer in Ottawa with my boyfriend and one thing I forgot to bring were nail art tools, so I decided to try and create some looks without them.
I created a Pink Collar Look using Mayfair, a light muted pink. This polish required two coats and didn't come out streaky at all, something that I often find with lighter, white based shades. For this, all you have to do is paint a V shape on the bottom half of the nails. I initially wanted them to come out like half hearts, but the square tops were so much easier to do with the rectangular brush, especially when painting your dominant hand. I also think the square tops give it a bit of edge - pun intended
West End, a vibrant cherry red, only needed one coat. I couldn't figure out what to do with a red polish and didn't have any complimentary colours with me, so I did another V shaped mani, beginning the V at the top corner of my nails and ending it at the midway point. Because this red is so  vibrant, the V was clearly distinguishable from afar and brought a slight twist to the classic red nails.

I like that these polishes are so pigmented. They're also fast drying, which I think is partly because the formula is pretty thin compared to other lightless gel polishes. However, the downside is that these polishes don't last very long, and I found myself repainting my nails after one week. Usually, one week of nail polish was expected when I worked in retail, but I'm only in school right now so I expected these to last longer. Based on that, I wouldn't classify it as a lightless gel polish, but it's great as a regular polish.

How do you do a tool-less mani?

This may seem like a weird topic, but at 25 years old, I survived my first sun burn. I know people get sun burns everyday, but it was just one of those things I never thought would happen to me. It's not because I take good measures to prevent it, but I always thought: Pfft, I'm Asian, we don't burn. I've gone back to my homeland and have worked outdoors in the summers (Wonderland, anyone?) without applying sunscreen and I was fine. But then Life decided it had enough of my sh*t and gave me a huge one across my back and shoulders on my birthday. After going surviving my first sun burn, I thought it would be nice to share some products that helped me through it.
Holika Holika Aloe 99% Soothing Gel ($12)
A sunburn can be hella uncomfortable and made my skin tingly and super sensitive. Luckily, I had this Soothing Gel stashed away somewhere and it helped calm down my burn. Aloe Vera has been known for it's soothing and healing properties, but combining it with a gel formula was absolute heaven - especially since I kept it in the fridge to provide some extra cooling relief.

Nivea In-Shower Body Milk ($6)
It's so important to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water as well as keeping your skin hydrated. Because I was using the Soothing Gel a lot, I didn't apply regular body lotion. Instead, I used this In-Shower Body Milk which acts like a wash off lotion, providing me some much needed extra hydration.

The Body Shop Mango Exfoliating Sugar Body Scrub* ($6)
My skin started to peel the third day and because the sunburn was on my back, it was easily irritated by my clothing. This Sugar Body Scrub helped me a lot with the peeling because it gently exfoliated my back and removed a lot of the burnt and dead skin.

Everyone is different and every sun burn is different too. These are just some products that helped me with my sun burn and is solely based on my experience, but some products may work better for you. But prevention is always the best in this case, so be sure to slather on that SPF! I know I will.

Do you have a lifesaver for sun burns? Let me know below!

Up until last year, I didn't know much about Clean fragrances. I would see them in Sephora with their minimalist packaging and unique names like "Skin" and "Air", but didn't really stop to sample their scents. I know, I know, I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, but I basically have ADD when I walk into Sephora - I CAN'T HELP IT, THERE'S SO MANY SPARKLY AND SHINY THINGS! Now, one of their fragrances has become a staple in my perfume collection.
Ultimate Beach Day, Black Leather, Citron Fig
Ultimate Beach Day ($74)  |  Black Leather ($98)  |  Reserve Citron Fig ($130)

Clean Ultimate Beach Day - with middle notes of white rose, tuberose, soft neroli, jasmine, African orange blossom, and lavender, this fragrance truly reminds me of a day at the beach. I really don't know how else to explain it, but the scent initially reminds me of sunscreen on a hot day at the beach but fades to a light musky scent by the end of the day.

Clean for Men Black Leather - the middle notes of this fragrance are juniper, spearmint leaf, black orchid give a floral yet musky and masculine scent. Oddly enough, this one reminds me of the inside of a really nice car which may explain the name Black Leather. I like that the florals and the musky scents balance each other out because I hate when mens' fragrances slap you in the face with musk. This one is boyfriend approved!

Clean Reserve Citron Fig - together, the middle notes of mandarin orange, cardamom and mint blend together and create a musky orange and apricot scent. My fragrance collection mostly consists of sweet perfumes, but I absolutely love this scent! It's definitely a more sophisticated scent for my fragrance wardrobe due to the musk, but still keeps it sweet with it's citrus and fruity tones.

Fragrances can be so difficult because scent preferences vary with everyone and you can't judge it based on packaging either. However, I think Clean has a wide variety of scents that you can probably find something that will match your own scent profile.

What's in your scent profile?

Wet n Wild's Lash Renegade Mascara ($7.99) was released earlier this year and hands down, it's my new favourite mascara. This mascara is formulated to provide volume, length, definition and curl to your lashes. I have short, straight lashes and seldom curl them, but this mascara definitely adds length and definition to my lashes.
What makes this mascara my new favourite is that it claims to be smudge proof, ophthalmologist tested and safe for contact lens wearers. My eyes are super sensitive to eye makeup - usually after 6 hours of wear, my eyes sting and I cry off my makeup, or I have to skip wearing eye makeup for a couple of days. Surprisingly, I have yet to cry off this mascara and have worn it successfully for a week straight! Another issue I tend to have with mascaras is that they smudge on my lower lid, leaving me with racoon eyes. This mascara has minimal smudging and only does so when water is involved ie. rain or sweat.

I'm so happy that I've found my holy grail mascara and that it's produced by Wet n Wild, a cruelty free brand. It lives up to it's claims and it's only $7.99! Hopefully they come out with a waterproof version soon for those rainy and gym days.

What's your holy grail mascara?
